RE: Microsoft and Apple by Vilkku on 12-07-2005 at 06:21 PM

I think the mouse is a Mac one, but a little hard to see. The laptop looks Mac-ish, too.

RE: Microsoft and Apple by wj on 12-07-2005 at 06:34 PM

The laptop is an iBook or Powerbook (both Macs)

The mouse is an older sinlge button apple mouse.

I just thought it was hillarious that it was on the Windows server home page.

Interesting. Wouldn't expect to see anything regarding Apple on a Microsoft site.

RE: Microsoft and Apple by lordy on 12-09-2005 at 07:39 AM

Maybe the guy who is responsible for the design got the images from some random free stock photos website, just like the "old news is so exciting" guy.

Self Pwnage

Bill Gates was in India and he was being interviewed by the top reporter in India. He was sitting beside Infosys CEO (infosys is the biggest IT Company .... well one of the top 2)
Bill said something odd. Ill make a post about it soon. ;)
RE: Microsoft and Apple by ~INVASION~ on 12-09-2005 at 11:32 AM

is it that bill uses open source instead of windows, cause he does, he said that tho windows has made him very wealthy its just not secure enough for him, all windows is is a money maker and thats the only reason he keeps it going

not sure if thats true tho, heard it somewhere

RE: Microsoft and Apple by Supersonicdarky on 12-09-2005 at 12:11 PM

No

He was asked that google is providing free services and eating up your market so what are you planning

Bill said that google isnt a free company. They get the money reqd from the companies from advertisements. But in acuallity this costs u the users cause it doesnt give u some money
he then said ....
microsoft plans to "give a part of the money back to the users"

O.o
RE: Microsoft and Apple by ~INVASION~ on 12-09-2005 at 12:45 PM

ppl can get money from google ads tho :P

Thats cause they host it on their sites, not cause they click it. Thats what Bill implied (and well said later)

RE: Microsoft and Apple by saralk on 12-11-2005 at 11:58 AM

Maybe they are trying to show that their software works on everything?

RE: Microsoft and Apple by user27089 on 12-11-2005 at 12:17 PM

I doubt even Microsoft would be naive enough to do that, it's most probably on purpose.

RE: Microsoft and Apple by azn angel on 12-11-2005 at 12:21 PM

maybe the promotion department whishes that they worked on macs..

RE: Microsoft and Apple by saralk on 12-11-2005 at 12:58 PM

maybe the promotion department does work on macs, I here the creative industries use Macs a lot.

Or maybe they know its a mac, and they don't care because they don't manufacture PCs and they realise that people aren't going to suddennly buy a mac just because there is a picture of one on a webpage.

RE: Microsoft and Apple by Negro_Joe on 12-11-2005 at 03:28 PM

Yea macs, are more for work, i think you find them in unis and colleges more often for editing and things...:P

That's a new feature Google is doing in Gmail called Web Clips. It's an RSS feed setup.

As for the image, that's hilarious that it would end up like that. I wonder how many people from Apple saw that and are laughing at MS about it. :D
