remove uselss bits of msn? by tony84 on 12-11-2005 at 07:46 PM

has anyone thought of creating something that will make msn much mroe streamlined and  putting it back to basics?

i quite liked msn version 4 and 5, although i do like some of the extra features such as webcam and the side pictures but  there are quite a fe features that are useless that i personally will never use for instance - those links down the left hand side for the lottery and weemee.com etc, personally i dont really use backgrounds or games etc either but im sure a lot do. but it would be good for you to be able to pick and choose what you wanted to install and what you wanted to remove.

Just an idea anyway

You can remove the "tabs" (weemee.com etc) by going to Tools > Options > Security, and checking "This is a shared computer, so don't display my tabs."

As to get rid of the Games buttons etc. you can use www.a-patch.tk, but please read the Terms & Conditions of it, as patching MSN Messenger is illegal.

you learn something new everyday
does that mean Messenger Plus is illegal?

No Messenger plus! is legal, because it doesn't change the actual .exe

It changes bits in memory and that's legal :)
