Stuff Plug errors by ero_sennin on 12-12-2005 at 03:09 PM

Hey all, I have MSN 7.0 and I recently installed Messenger Plus 3 and the stuffplug plugin. I initially installed stuffplug to have that function where it lets you know who has clicked on your name and that pop up comes up. But, I dont know if I am the only one, but its pops up regardless if the person on my list did or didnt click on my name. I asked 5 people who "seemed" to have clicked on my name, and I asked them if they just clicked on my name, and they said no. SO whats up with that, does anyone know??

Opened conversation popups will come up if they just sign in aswell. This is because since MSN 7.0 all DPs are gathered on sign in (this is recognized as opening a window).

Ah, okay that semi helps :-P
BUT, how come some of the people on my list log in as usual, and some log in as you said, "as opened conversation pop ups"?

And when you say DP...do you mean display picture??

Depends on when they sign in and when you sign in. Yes with DP i mean Display Picture.

Edit: reason i doubleposted is because i asked for a split...as a totally different question was asked too (so splitting can still be done without confusion). ero_sennin: it's best if you got a totally unrelated question to the first that you make a new thread for it ;)

can you disable this display picture gathering thing?? Like I notice that when I use "CE/DP" it shows me all of the display pics throughout the whole day who signed on...I DONT NEED that option!! I just speak to a select few on my list and I just take there display pic manually...can I disable that automatic display gathering thing you were saying earlier??

Nope, that's not possible. MSNM needs them to display on popups and in the contactlist (if you told it to do so)..they have not build in an option wether you want DP gathering or not.

I enabled a bunch of pop up functions like

letting you know when someone goes offline
letting you know when someone changes there msn nickname

is that too much??

Shouldn't make a difference.

Oh crap, sorry I didnt see your post thingy, sorry!!
It's alright. If you do have some additions to a previous post about the same subject and no one has posted after you you should use the "edit" button on the bottom of your previous post ;)
