Orlando Bloom by J.J on 12-13-2005 at 02:50 PM

Well, my friend Ben, who's registered on these forums as Elessar and I, both took up an art Elective on our last term in Year 9. The Elective is called Visual Arts Project, and there's only two classes formed every semester.

The aim of the class is to do a project that will be displayed around the school for many years to come. Our class's project was to jazz up the drama room, which at the time, didn't look so good :P.

Both Ben and I, decided that we'd paint a picture of Legolas aka Orlando Bloom on the back wall of the Drama room.

After many lessons of planning and working on the painting, we were able to get it done

Here's the final result

He looks constipated - the "oh god I just touched cloth" look perhaps.

Is the painting on the wall and how big is it?
Its very well done though i have some critiques.
dont get sad or anything =p, im doing this so you can improve

First off the ears, they are bit small, for a head that big, if you have a photo of him in that pose then you may prove me wrong.

Second it seems he doesnt have an upper lip and the part between the nose and the top of an upper lip. Same goes for the bottom lip.

Thridly the tip of the nose is crooked to the left a little.

These are some obvious crits but if you'd like me to be more thourough and point you to a good direction send me a PM.

Keep it up man! :)

In other words, "Our school is too poor to hire people so lets make an assignment for the kids to spruce up the place and give them grades instead of money" :P lol

Good painting though (Y). We did a mural at our school. Something to give leave behind after our year left. Had tiny coloured pieces of tiles and arranged them to form our school emblem and our class year. Looked pretty good if I may say so myself.

Believe me, i suck at painting. The teacher guides you along the way tells you how to do things etc. You get better with more time you spend working on it.

Its quite big. The picture is decieving :P. I can't really explain how big it is, but yeh, it is quite a large painting. And yes, it is painted on the back wall of the drama room, not on any canvas or anything

Yeh i was away in the last lesson when the ear was done, but it doesn't really bother me anyway.

Thanks for all you comments. They are appericated by TD and myself. Much credit must go to arts teacher too for her support in the process of painting.
