Contact Clean-Up Issue by TheShowstopper on 12-18-2005 at 03:18 PM

Hey. On my contact clean-up list it says that I have chatted to people that I haven't talked to for a long time in the 'last chat' colum. Does anyone know why this is?

Even someone I have had blocked for a years has apparently chatted to me 19 days ago.

Do you know what might cause the Contact Celan-up list to verify a chat? Maybe if someone opens your chat box without saying anything it is archived?

Thanks.

Everytime you open a conversation with a contact...even when you type/send nothing...this gets noticed/logged as chat.

Does this mean if someone opens a message window from their computer, without saying anything, it will log on my clean-up list?

Or do I have to open the window?

Thanks again.

I don't think (not 100% sure) it can log anything if a contact opens a message box with you and sends nothing..besides how can someone you blocked open one? He/she will see you as offline so no box can be opened.

That's what I don't understand.

Maybe I am unblocking people, opening their chat window, closing it without saying anything and re-blocking them in my sleep.

Thanks anyway.

As i said i'm not 100% sure, something might get send on opening convo....like how else can an open convo notifier detect that somebody else opened a convo with you...(or viewed contactcard..wich is recognized the same).

Maybe someone who knows more about the programming of Plus! can answer wether or not Plus! logs this aswell. I know for sure it logs opening on your side.
