I'm confused.. Does this update mean we can use Msgplus! on WLM until patchou releases MsgLivePlus! ?

No. It means that when Messenger Plus! live comes out you can run them both beside each other (for example : Windows Messenger using Plus! 3 (the small updated version) and Windows Live Messenger using Messnger Plus Live at the same time.
