On other forums, people are busy having competitions, i say we have one here! ;)

erm... little help with the font? lol, ive bin looking for an hour straight lookign for the squared off A and still can't find it, im on the verge of creating my own, i just need the font then mine is in!

I am making one now. You know that shine, well I know there is another way of doing it apart from filling it with white. Instead, you fill it with a gradient I think. I thought it looked a little better.

Here is my Zone Alarm userbar. I want to make the ZA icon animate like it does but that will take a little longer.

Edit: My signature has the animated Zone Alarm userbar ;) It's quite big because I didn't know how to use one image as the background and just have the ZA icon animated.

My shot at this, i couldn't find the avedesk logo in any good format so i kinda cheated using a grayscale one and colorizing it to the right color ;P

Tbh, it's very childish to abuse something like this. Why must such stuff always result in stupid spam and abuse and what not?

It says more about those who abused it than it says about the skills of who programmed it... djeezus...

I think the main reason he didn't put the poll on the forums was because you can't put X amount of images in one post. So why not make 1 big image:

image (helicopter): too small. Try enlarging it even if it gets cut off
text: too blurry, try using other font and adding a black 1px border on the outside
other: try adding the lines in the back, userbars look much better with them

overall: 6/10

1. Changed the text
2. Added a soldier (looked empty before hand I thought)
3. Tilted the helicopter and enlarged it
4. Added a border

I think I put the shiney effect on at the wrong time, I should have put it on after the images where grouped, then it would have looked better. how do you put the lines in, I couldn't work that out. I'm pure photoshop NooB

It's like yours Super I know, but mine has a different plane. I made it similar so I could compare.

The only thing I can see that might be wrong on mine now, is there may be a bit to much shine affect

I made two, one just a standard glass effect, and the other sort of a dusty desert effect, both the same images, just a different gradient.

Adobe says I'm missing the font that you used in it, dnt spose you might have it? it comes up alright until I select it then photoshop says I'm missing it, then it changes and doesnt look as good.

Just install the font and you'll be ok. If you are referring to the font which is used to write the main text in userbars (like "battlefield 2 player") then i have it :) I could send it to you if you are in a hurry :P

Just use the font you use to write yours. So select the font and pick the one you use. I was using Visitor -BRK-... Get the font here. Just install Visitor.fon, the two other TrueType ones aren't good.

just some advice for later: make the userbar shininess rounded or something (looks more pro):

[Image: specialforcesdust.png] Not Round

[Image: bf2.png] round

and put the text on top of the shinyness (makes it more defined):

[Image: specialforcesdust.png] below

[Image: bf2.png] above

it took me an half an hour to make good userbars. I dunno why it takes so long for sum ppl. (maybe its cuz i started photoshopping when i was 12 8-))

That's got to be it, I'm only just gettin to using it so it's taking me some time working out what does what an all that. But I think I'm moving along quiet quickly!

I make my userbars in like 5 minutes :p When I first started using photoshop I got so annoyed with it, but now I don't have as many problems.
I think my favourite userbar that I have made would have to be this one:

And @ Supersonicdarky, ohk It took me hours to make my first one because it was my first time and it was animated.

i meant it took me at first, now i also make them fairly fast
