Hey guys I have noticed another bug in forums.

This one is about signatures. Well now I cant trust the signature preview in the user cp because it is wrong now just take a look here:

Signature Preview in user cp:

im wondering if you guys did that on purpose (probably not) or just over looked something. Probably the code for displaying signatures is diffrent than the one in the post

You need to press enter there :S How do you expect it to go onto the next line ?? :P

yes i know that :P but im just saying that the preview is wrong, thats all
edit: now i updated with the enter but still im thinking it showed like that because in the admin cp the box width is set and dose not expand to whats in it

I have a similar thing. It shows me the preview correctly :-/

It must be a typo by you :P

Remember that the preview signature is not as wide as the showthread page (because of the user options column). :) Thus, the image was shown under the larger image over there.

Always, to put things on the next line, press enter. ;)

hrm buts that's not why i posted this i did it because now we know that sometimes the signature preview is wrong thats all maybe we should fix this. I wasent asking how to fix my sig :dodgy:

indeed its because of that, but that's not a bug. The preview is correct; that is how it is suppose to be.

The preview is correct. The thing which needed a fix was your signature, not the preview. The "bug" is in your signature with not putting the different images on different lines (or at least put a space between them).

Thanks cookie, I understanded that already but i think you make it a correct statment ;) But maybe admins should edit the admin cp so expand to the content in it like the sigs and other stuff so that signature previews are correct

You mean like the preview space is shorter than the actual thread space.
Well small things like that can be tested in a actual thread. Find a post. Cause the thing is that there always has to be that side bar in the usercp ;)
You could always think about small things like that.
Increasing the size of the preview box there would also lead to the problem that the page would look out of sync (the theme would be ruined)

There are also simulations like posts where the total length of your posts (post+sig height) was lesser than the info box on the left and when it is equal to or greater. The sig used to (i dont think it still does) behave a bit differently (atleast i think so).
So you cant test everything :P

But these are all rare cases which happen to a every specific size of sig. So for the minority, i just guess they will have to correct it as and when the notice it.
I for one find my post asap when i add a new sig code. I also tell users if their avatar, signature and/or their under avatar caption may have a problem.
So you see if there is a problem then you'll find out sooner rather than later ;)
