Don't forget to check if you have available ram slots and if your motherboard supports that much ram RE: ram makes by stoshrocket on 01-01-2006 at 04:24 PM OK, this is the one i have got.... the website is very good with delivery as well 1GB Crucial RAM (top one) RE: ram makes by DJKAL on 01-01-2006 at 08:40 PM

It should be in the RAM section of your Motherboard's manual or possibly on the website. RE: ram makes by DJKAL on 01-01-2006 at 09:01 PM

quote: for me it was in the manual ...if you still have it or as said ... it should be on their website RE: ram makes by Chris4 on 01-01-2006 at 10:01 PM

quote:I was thinking of buying a 512mb stick to add onto my 512mb I already have [256mb x 2] but I think from that data above I only have 2 places I can put memory sticks in. If I took one of the 256mb sticks out and replaced with 512, i'd have 768mb...? I've been told I shouldn't use two different sticks. Hmmm... Guess i'll have to get two 512mb memory sticks. [1MB Total] RE: ram makes by Jhrono on 01-01-2006 at 10:42 PM
quote:Correct . quote:You can use two different sticks and yes that'd work. quote:Here in portugal, that'd cost you 160 euros, pretty expensive, why don't you buy a 1gb ram stick for less than 160 euros and replace one of the 256 Mb ones with it ? RE: ram makes by Chris4 on 01-01-2006 at 10:47 PM
quote:I guess I could get a 1GB stick for about £50 and replace with one of the 256mb sticks, so I'd have 1.25GB RAM? Correct? RE: ram makes by Chestah on 01-02-2006 at 12:36 AM
quote: Yes thats correct ![]() ![]() RE: ram makes by Chris4 on 01-02-2006 at 12:50 AM
quote:corsair not cosair ![]() Ok i'll take a look ![]() I don't want to make a new topic so i'll post here... In the manual it says: You can install DDR400 (nForce2 400 only)/33/266/200 modules on the DDR DIMM slots (DIMM1~2) Could someone tell me what this means? I'm thinknig of getting a 1mb memory stick but want one thats compatible with my computer obviously and don't want to buy the wrong one!! RE: ram makes by DJKAL on 01-02-2006 at 01:09 AM
quote:hey ... you told me 1 GB!!! ![]() dont think 1 meg is avaliable! ![]() ![]() RE: ram makes by Chris4 on 01-02-2006 at 01:18 AM
quote:Can't decide.. ![]() ![]() Can anyone answer the question though ![]() RE: ram makes by stoshrocket on 01-02-2006 at 03:54 PM
quote: it just means you have 2 DIMM slots for the RAM, that can support the speeds DDR400 ~ 200 stated. You want the fastest one which is DDR400, although it does say '(nForce2 400 only)' which im not too sure about, can someone varify what ive just said, i am pretty sure i am right in saying you can get a DDR400 RAM stick. |
