depends, if you just downloaded an image file, it's probably the content of the cd. You'll have another file, a .cue one that is one selected to burn / mount the cd and points to the .bin

but how big is that bin and do you have any other file with it ?

You would need a .cue file

but u can use Magic ISO Maker to extract the contents of the .bin file

Or use Daemon Tools.
Simply set how many devices (files) you need to open. Then mount the image.

...or alcohol 52% (Y) highly recomended.

RE: What loads .bin files? by prashker on 01-01-2006 at 11:21 PM

DAEMON Tools supports the following image files:
cue/bin
iso
ccd (CloneCD)
bwt (Blindwrite)
mds (Media Descriptor File)
cdi (Discjuggler)
nrg (Nero)
pdi (Instant CD/DVD)
b5t (BlindWrite 5)

From Daemon Tools Site.

I dont think it can use a bin without mounting the cue

I'm pretty sure you can, just change the thing to "all files" insted of "All image files".

U can use IsoBuster to make a cue for the file, then you can mount it with Deamon Tools

.bin files are used on macintosh computers for installation purpouses, are you sure you haven't downloaded the mac version by mistake? I downloaded some mac stuff by mistake a few hours ago, then I read the site, and it said that .bin files are used as installation things on mac... Then I remembered this thread...
