cpu full by Supersonicdarky on 01-02-2006 at 02:29 AM

after the pc was up for 8-10 hours, whenever i move my mouse over anything with a mouseover or any menu, for some reason it takes up 100% of my cpu for a couple of seconds

happened ever since i installed windows fx and after i defragged

Killing windowsFX doesn't help, restarting does

i dunno, cuz when i open task manager and i move my mouse over a menu, it doesn't show which application is slow because cpu 2 busy, and when its back to normal, it shows normal :(

So you've opened Task Manager > Processes and seen what taken up most CPU? Like so:

By the way (i'm sure Chris4 knows this :P) System Idle Process using high percentages of CPU is perfectly fine. Basicially if System Idle Process is using 100% CPU, it means your CPU is completely idle and not using any of itself.
