Whenever i try to upload a file i get the following message. Warning: ftp_put(): Could not create file. in /home/ftp2/public_html/includes/filesystem.inc.php on line 836
# File blah.php could not be transferred to the FTP server
Can anyone helP?

What server are you trying to upload to, and what FTP client are you using? Is it a web-based file manager?

I'm just uploading it to my friends web server. I'm using 01ftp.com but i used SmartFTP and it didn't make any difference.

That would mean you don't have write permission to the folder on the server that you are trying to upload to. In most cases, there will be no way for you to fix this.
You might want to look around on the server for another folder to upload to ("uploads" or "incoming" would be most likely intended for uploads), or talk to the owner or admin.
