video edting help by guanako on 01-08-2006 at 08:17 PM

ok i got this home video that i want to burn onto a vcd, but the video itself its too long to fit on a sigle cd, so i want to split it into two diff ones, many told me to use windows movie maker for it but, everytime i try using it it crashes, so does anyone knows how to fix movie maker or another program that could do this for me?

On the Windows XP: Movie Maker website, it says that Windows Movie Maker can be updated using automatic update or Windows Update. So see if there are any updates for it first.

If not, you can download Windows Movie Maker 2.0 from ZDNet UK and reinstall it.

Or you can try a different program. I tried searching for 'movie maker' on Download.com and there's some useful programs there.

well on its properties it says windows movie file, most of those splitters wont recognize the file or say something about the codec.
