Okay i've got a problem with my msn that is really getting to me now. When I am signed into msn (7.5) some of my contacts have this problem in that they can't see i'm online. My status says offline, so you can imagine how confused they are when I send them a message... and my status is offline. They can message me back when its in this state, though sometimes the messages can't get through.

So that's my problem. I have been having this problem for just over a week. My 2 brothers use msn on this same computer and they have no trouble with it. That makes me thing it's something to do with my account, rather than my computer or the program. I have reinstalled msn messenger and that still didn't help.

I have tried using different messengers, like msn web messenger and some other web based messenger. But I still get this problem.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?!?

3 known possibllity's could be causing this:

1.) Server troubles
2.) Do you have stuffplug NG with talk to blocked contats feature on
3.) A new virus which has been spreading

Please try a virus scan or disabling your plugins. If it is the server you cannot do much about it.
