Is there a plugin that allows u to have a "Shared" folder so that ur mates could see the files in there and get them off you and you could do the same to allow easy file sharing through msn?

I don't believe there's a plugin that does Shared Folders. This feature is included with the upcoming Windows Live Messenger, however.

Click the Plus! Icon next to your message box and select "Automatic File Sharing" then "Configure...".
All your contacts have to do is use the trigger "!listfiles" to get a list of all your files.
There is also a plugin from a while back named Pleh File Sharing if it still works:
