I'm sure you see what's wrong here.

Shoulda reported it before, but it's only a minor thing.

should test it out on mybb1.02

It was reported before when Matty had [] in his name, nothing was done about it then, I kinda doubt you can do much about it now besides change the nick.

It does the same exact thing.
RE: [quote] issue by RaceProUK on 01-21-2006 at 10:21 PM

The fix wouldn't be too horrific: you'd just have to note how many '['s so you know which ']' matches.

why not just make [quote= take a B64'd parameter? Or, escape [ and ] and then stripslashes on parse?

RE: [quote] issue by Ezra on 01-21-2006 at 11:01 PM

Chris should make it so that the name should be enclosed in ""

So it would be [quote = "[MR]"]

Then they can just urlencode what's inside or something.

Yes, adding the noparse everytime. Like anyone is going to bother doing that. They won't think about it really.

RE: [quote] issue by -dt- on 01-22-2006 at 05:39 AM

just get wdz to modify his regular expression to support backslashes so you could just do

[quote=[mr\]]

RE: [quote] issue by WDZ on 01-22-2006 at 05:53 AM

What I'd do is just add quotes, like [quote="[MR]"]

But I don't feel like making little modifications like that right now... |-)

No, but people like being picky.

Tbh, it's not a big deal. It doesn't ruin the post at all.
