Well my friend has an ipod with a longterm warrenty on it,now his earphones arent working properly and he's heard that he can order new ones by logging to the site because he has an extended warrenty. Problem is, we can't quite seem to find the page to order the earphones.. anyone has a link we can follow?

http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/ there you can find a link "Request a replacement accessory for your iPod". I think this is what you're looking for.
