I downloaded some video clips using torrents but when i play it, Windows Explorer crashes. i send the error report and it seems like i have a virus on my computer thats been cuasing this, but i think otherwise. i followed the advice that MS gave but i still get the problem. its happened with 2 different videos ive downloaded. however, other video files i have seem to be fine. whats going on RE: Explorer crashes by Mike on 02-02-2006 at 07:43 PM
Try playing the videos with VLC Media Player. RE: Explorer crashes by Reaper on 02-02-2006 at 08:03 PM
quote:yup, plays fine in VLC. what is the cause of the problem though cos i wanna convert the video and burn it to a dvd, but i wanna know a solution so i wont run into any problems on playback [Update] i removed every single one of my codecs ( i had the k-lite mega codec pack installed) and the explorer doesnt crash! but i cant view the video solved the problem i had to remove all the codecs and update them. apparently the codecs had some bugs in them |
