trillian-style log viewer/recorder by kabutar on 02-03-2006 at 01:24 AM

okay, this may seem like an odd request/question but I did search the forums thoroughly.

I use Trillian for everything (AIM, Yahoo, secondary MSN) except my main MSN account which I prefer to keep on regular MSN as it does so much more (Trillian doesn't show userpics properly, or song titles playing, doesn't update nicks or show personal messages etc). HOWEVER - its logging style is amazing, it logs it all in .txt as well as in .xml, you can search all the logs, it shows you chat lengths, files shared in the chat, a little calendar, etc. Is there any way to do this sort of thing with msgplus logging, perhaps a plugin or at the very least a trillian/msgplus back and forth log importer? Surely it can't be THAT hard. :P

Thanks in advance :)

You'll get about all of that with Messenger Plus! Live, just be a little more patient :).

Yes, I love the new upcoming MsgPlus! chat logs, so easy to read and I love the fact that you can now customize them ;)
Oh for kabutar here is a link to what MsgPlus! 4 chat logging will look like:

note that you don't see the new "Log Viewer" application in this screenshot :).

WHOOPS. well shoot me. i'm sorry, lol - I did a search for it all but somehow never quite managed to find that thread.

okay, I shall now be happily waiting :P Thanks for the reply though :)

oh one question if nobody minds. will we be able to search back through previous logs - ie consolidation? or will it still just be separate based on filing?
