Simple program by Lou on 02-19-2006 at 02:19 PM

I am not sure how to make this, but I know lots of you here can.

I would like a program that can have a calendar, I click on a day, and I add the hours I worked, and for how much I worked for, and it would give me a total at the end of the week. THis program can save in a text file or what not. Can anyone do this?

I obviously want it automated so that I can spend more time at work then time calculating all this stuff.

Can't this be done using Excel?

EDIT: I'll upload what I meant in a sec. Attached an example.

I guess this could sortof work..but wouldn't it be possible to make it so I can just use the hours I'm paid per hour, and it'll multiply it by the hours I worked?

Here is something like that...

That's exactly what I need. Can you add the rest of the year to it?

This might make it even easier to do.  Just fill in the grey boxes and it will do it all for you.  You only need the begining and ending times of each shift, you don't even have to work out how many hours you worked on the day and you only have to enter your pay rate once at the top.  Just make sure you use 24hr time like 13:30 for 1:30 PM and things like that.  Hope it's easier for you

I only foresee one problem with this..if I change job/get promoted, I'm screwed:P

Then all you need to do is ask one of us to do you up another or just tell us how you want it changed.  Not too much effort for someone who knows how it all works. :P

Why not create your own entry / algorithm / UI using Microsoft Access?

If you can use access to make an easy to use databse for him then that would be nice but my access skills aren't up to scratch for that. Sorry.
RE: Simple program by Lou on 02-27-2006 at 07:49 PM

Well This is sortof important, so if anyone is willing to make that database thing for me...
