Seperate audio by Reaper on 03-11-2006 at 05:51 PM

are there any programs that will allow me to seperate parts of a song. for example take out the vocals, or take the bass, etc.
i have nero wave editor but i dont know how to isolate different parts of the song

I'm a producer. You simply can't... ;) if you start eliminating frequencies, you will eliminate them from the music as well. You can do it, with professional hardware, but your music will be damaged, in every way. The way you mention Nero Wave Editor is hilarious, uninstall that shit :)

ahh. thanks anyway
nero wave editor isnt that bad. i usally use it when i get songs which are low on volume so i can make it louder.

I use Goldwave and before that I used Nero Wave Editor like you. However as Exca said it is impossible without getting rubbish results.

For example, if you wanted to get rid of vocals in Goldwave then you could, although it'll sound like you dropped your stereo in the bath. :P

Unfortunatley that is exactly the same as the Vocals. The only way you could isolate stuff is if you made the track yourself thus you know how to create the sound. :^)

You know you won't be able to :) reproducing is damn hard, you can only find the rithm but that's it. It will look harsh. You'll need the original samples mastered in the right way to reproduce it totally and then still...
