Windows Live Mail Beta by scifiswain on 03-17-2006 at 03:25 PM

Hello, not sure if this question belongs in this forum, but I've signed up to be a windows live mail beta tester, and that was a few weeks ago.  I havent been invited to try it yet ... and I really want to give it a shot.  How can I go about getting an invitation considering I don't know any people who have it installed already.  Oh and also, do you have to have signed up for it to recieve invitations anyway?

Thanks.

You dont always get selected to try it, and if you are you MIGHT get invitations.

check that thread for an invite, which should let you use it straight away

Yeah... I did the same thing, I signed up for the beta... waited a couple weeks... then I forgot about it... saw that thread... got invited... and then Microsoft finally accepted me about 2 days after... lol.

Imo WLMail is quite good .... its progressing quite well. It has a few bugs but its still doing well. Its a beta. You cant expect it to be perfect :P

You can opt out of using the beta at anytime through the options... But to get back in to it you either have to be re-invited or accepted by microsoft.

Hello, Im still looking for someone to invite me onto Windows Live Mail ... I checked the thread on T and T but im not getting any responce.  Im getting bored of waiting for Microsoft, it seems like ages since I signed up.  Anyone got many invites and wants to give them out?  my email address is scifiswain@hotmail.com

Thanks.

You shouldn't post your email address like that, and much worse in forums because of bots that can spam you. Maybe replace the "@" to "at" .

WLMail is great and it's progressing really well and I hope it's a lot better for the final release.

Alright, i guet what u mean, but the other forum I was in yesterday said it was ok ... and no-ones giving me the answers I need ... and I've been waiting a long time, so i thought that if anyones got spare WLMail invites they want to give away, (alright they dont know me), they could just send straight to my hotmail account without private messages having to go backwards and forwards.

RE: Windows Live Mail Beta by Reaper on 03-18-2006 at 04:18 PM

you only posted in the thread yesterday. you need to be patient!

RE: Windows Live Mail Beta by scifiswain on 03-18-2006 at 04:20 PM

Yeah ok, its just that someone said that there was a person giving away invites ... but by the time i got there it still said there were some being given away but i've had no replies.  I've also got a lot of time on my hands at the moment, im kinda bored so im on forums lots.  Thanks for your comments anyway.

He doesn't have many invites dude... that's why you have a "I forgot my password" button to retrieve your password. Don't make Sean waste many invites on some emails that people forget their passwords :/ .

RE: Windows Live Mail Beta by Protocol on 03-21-2006 at 09:09 PM

Microsoft has silently enabled access to the latest Windows Live Messenger Beta for all passports. This means that from now on you won't need an invitation in order to be able to log in.

By the way. Windows Live Messenger Beta 8.0.0566 crashes on all my PCs every time I close the main window. If I don't close the main window or if I don't open the main window, everything else works fine. *-)

This is not a thread for requesting invitations. Please use THIS thread for invitations.

Also, do not PM me for invites, I'll ignore your requests.
