quote: Obviously the XBOX. To be honest, what is the need of installing it on your xbox?! Just get a 10gb hdd of your own, they cost like £10... Install linux on that with Dual Boot . RE: Xbox linux by [MR] on 03-22-2006 at 06:49 PM i meant the xbox RE: Xbox linux by Nathan on 03-22-2006 at 06:51 PM
I was wonderig whether it could be installed on the xbox 360 RE: Xbox linux by [MR] on 03-22-2006 at 06:52 PM
quote:dual boot the xbox? i wouldnt be able to since there is only one hdd IDE cable in it. i have extra HDD's but i want to use my xbox as a computer since i never play games on it. quote:I think they are trying to start that project. RE: Xbox linux by user27089 on 03-22-2006 at 06:53 PM
quote: I meant doing a dual boot on the computer. But if you want to use it as a computer, just take out the hard drive and put it in your computer. Or of course, you could sell it on eBay, you'll get like £90 for it if you sell it with some games You could buy a graphics card or some RAM for that . quote:I would need another case for it then quote:i have been reading the guides and it isnt that easy, but that may work dont remember, only trouble is getting the xbox open, i have to get like an xacto knife or somthing sharp like that for its screws. RE: Xbox linux by user27089 on 03-22-2006 at 07:13 PM The screws are easy to get out, I opened mine up last night. It's been really well put together too (better than the PS2) so everything is easy to get out, just like a PC. RE: Xbox linux by Reaper on 03-22-2006 at 07:20 PM
quote:the ps2 is a nightmare to open up, although the case is easy enough, putting it back together is annoying RE: RE: Xbox linux by [MR] on 03-22-2006 at 09:50 PM
quote: what tools did you use to open it? I cant use a screw driver so what did you use? RE: Xbox linux by ShawnZ on 03-22-2006 at 10:07 PM
