ok, i got a weird question
is there a api call or something that would allow me to check if the "line in" port of my sound card is in use or not
and is there a way to change my personal message of WLM with out using plus!? (obviously since i'm not a beta tester)

Just click it in the contact list, and it should let you edit?
Or do you mean from a contact Window? Which in that case I think no.

The API thing will probably involve some MCI stuff, so look that up on MSDN
