AGP Question by YourNeibour on 03-26-2006 at 02:36 AM

Hi,

I just bought a Motherboard with an 1 AGP 8x 1.5 V/ 0.8 V and I have a Sapphire radeon 9600PRO AGP card but I'm not sure what the V is on it...Should I worry about that or is my Sapphire card ok?

1.5 V/ 0.8 V stands for the voltage the montherboard can deliver to the AGP card. In your case it's 1.5 Volt or 0.8 Volt, you will be able to change between those values in your BIOS.

1/2x (AGP 1.0) was usually 3.3V, 4x (AGP 2.0) was for 1.5V -- 8x is 0.8V. The Sapphire radeon 9600PRO is a AGP 8x card, so it should work.
