job for website designers by saralk on 04-09-2006 at 05:08 PM

as you may or may not know, my dad is making a film.

He needs a film for his website, under usual circumstances I would make the site for him, but I have a lot of other stuff going on (AS Level Exams, Audio Tour Guide to Chester, and i'm designing the CD and DVD for him plus many other projects) so i really have no time for the site.

This is where I am looking for you guys to help.

The film is a bollywood love story, quite serious, about doctors, immigration and all that stuff.

So if you want to get the job, post up a mockup of the site (can be a photoshop mockup, or actual html) and a price for it.

Its an independent film, not a major production, so the site will space for a synopsis, actors, contact and also places for potential buyers and stuff to go to.

The film's name is: Bhavishya - The Future
you can just put random names for the actors and characters

If you want some pictures to use go to http://www.saral.me.uk/film/The_Film/. I have a lot more photos, and also high res photos if you go on any further.

You will get paid, my dad was going to get some really shoddy site made, before i saw it and told him not to (if you are in the mood for a laugh, http://www.bhavishya-thefuture.com <- that was the original site) and that monstrosity was going to cost him £500.

What color scheme would you like us to use ?

I was about to start with grey and yellow, but I really don't know

Well most of the artwork for the CDs and stuff is black.

well have you got any pics of the CD artwork or stuff like that we can base it around? ie, any particular theme that would suit it?

RE: job for website designers by absorbation on 04-15-2006 at 11:44 AM

I would be more than glad to help with any code. XHTML valid and make sure is works in all resolution/ browsers etc. But ... for £500 professionalism you best off going for GFDD.net. They also are really good with flash designs + I think $400 is their normal cost :P

I'm not sure you quite understand Inferno. The example that Fukafly showed us was his own personal website, basically just showing saral what skills he has etc. I doubt he would give the site design to you :S

RE: job for website designers by MC Inferno on 04-15-2006 at 09:46 PM

 Yeah lol, that's basically the extent of my skill when it comes to flash animations to be honest... I could probably learn, but I don't have the time...

... Sorry Inferno, I wouldn't be able to do a site like that :D
RE: job for website designers by aNILEator on 04-17-2006 at 12:58 PM

find my mockup attached, as always i can change anything that you don't like

But as mentioned before GFD might be a better choice, not to put myself down or anything but they're the pro's and i might not have the time, if it was simple or in HTML then i might be able to do it for you still :)
