Well, with the new Messenger Plus! Live coming with XML chat logs, you'll probably be able to create your own XSL style sheet for it and create your own tables. At least, that's how I think it'll work...

I'm not sure if he means for logs or not. But anyway, the WLM team are looking to change the way conversations are displayed, to avoid repeated "Person says:" lines.

Not only that Person says, that would be like Gtalk, but I wanted to see it displayed in tables of different colors so it's easier to keep track of what they told you. And I'm not meaning the logs, I mean the whole conversations.

The technical challenges involved might actually render this impossible to do, as it might end up interfering with chat logs, both Messenger's and Plus!'s.
