I encryped my log files with a password a long time ago, and when I finally went back to try to find something in an old log, I completely forgot my password to open them up. Is there anyway of changing the password without having to know the old one first?

As ghost implies, there is no way of recovering/changing the old password. Sorry.

I assumed there would be a secure way to change it, that's why.

the best way would be to try every old password you can think of, and hope you get lucky, other then that your screwed
