Im not sure if this could be done or not, but it sure would be usefull if the desktop contacts had a feature in which it could match the colour of your background, i sit here tweaking it for 10 minutes everytime i change my background so that it fits..
Or..
A transparent background.
(I know thats what transperancy is for, but when i hover over it i just want to see the text)

It would be kinda cool to get a "clear" option for background color.... Would be nice to have in MP!L if it isn't already in there. I don't change my background much, so that's not a problem... But I like mine on top of my windows.... so sometimes it's difficult to read what they say with the colors there...
