wtf?! im in my music library... i try and set the yar of a song to 2006, type it in, press enter... and wmp changes it back to 2005....
it does it even when the year is unkown and im trying to enter 2006 (so its not like its going back to a previous setting)

I've noticed this too, although with any year and not just 2006. Hopefully will be ironed out in the final version.

for me it always adds on one year for some reason 
its really weird. im guessing that isnt expected behaviour and will be fixed lol.
try entering 2007, thats works for me mabye you have a different problem though

WMP (in all its versions) has an option to auto-fill in such stuff based on what is be found on the net.
Make sure you have turned of that automatically entering of data.
