I swear when you first install itunes it asks you if you want itunes to search your computer for any existing music files or something along those lines...and thwnit imports all the ones found

Am i just remembering wrong?

iTunes doesn't monitor folders like WMP. It might be a feature in the next version though.

1) Simply goto File > Add Folder to Library
2) Select your C Drive and click OK

NOTE: Doing so will add in all the Windows sounds as well, simply remove any files that show up as in the library without Artist or any other ID3 Tags.

It only scans your My Music folder and will add in files of the supported type and Unprotected WMA files.
