1% [                                     ] 52,166,656    --.--K/s ETA 33:54:39

this would be so much faster to torrent.

RE: Get Windows Vista! CPP Open! by ipab on 06-08-2006 at 03:05 AM

my connection keeps cutting out for some reason, at 8 percent now.

RE: Get Windows Vista! CPP Open! by Voldemort on 06-08-2006 at 03:07 AM

RE: Get Windows Vista! CPP Open! by wj on 06-08-2006 at 03:09 AM

I'm at 12% now...... This takes too long, I agree a torrent would work much better.

Why do you need a firewall when you can just watch where you're surfing at? Not only that, doesn't Vista have a built in one just like XP?

I think it just comes up as a dual boot when you boot it that way
Windows Vista Beta software compatibility list by YourNeibour on 06-08-2006 at 02:04 PM

This may help people to decide if they want to install it or not.

I cant really be bothered, i only forsee problems.. Unless someone can tell me if this will effect my current windows installation (e.g: Will it overwrite everything i allready have documents etc..as if i was reinstalling XP? Or will it simply install in a seperate directory and dual boot?)

I guess you can only dual boot it if you install it in a separate drive.

XP 64bit is a "hassle" because it isn't really supported by everything. Vista, however, is meant to be run in 64bit mode, so if you have a 64bit processor, I say go for it. (I am, and I would also like to point out that I haven't tried XP 64 at all, so if someone knows more, please tell us).

I loose.

i use XP64Bit. its ok , lacks some support for hardware, like webcams etc,  but im sure when Vista 64Bit is released all drivers will come out to support both architectures . but i'd still install a 32bit version on a 64bit Cpu, till MS Make a full 64Bit OS, , Basically IMO 64Bit Vista is just gonna be like 64Bit XP,  your gonna have your Pro's an Cons , if i recall within 64bit Vista your still gonna have 32bit IE7 an 64Bit IE7  just like XP 64bit is now, , even linux isnt fully 64bit yet,

Windows Vista feature Bites The Dust

Microsoft has cut PC-to-PC synchronization from Vista. Vista Beta 2, which is slated to go to as many as two million testers, does not include the P2P synchronization technology. Quality is the reason for the latest cut, Microsoft officials said.

The file is currently the most downloaded thing on the internet. It is a huge file as well. You may have to wait a couple of days to a week until you can download Vista because demand should be down by then. ;)

English 32-Bit

You will still need to use the product key sent by Microsoft.

well for my 1st post i'll post this lol

i tried vista and if ya think it will leave ya XP untouched think again after u format ur machine to install XP (or even if ya just delete vista) u still gotta format every hard drive in your machine....

i had important things on my other harddrive that vista didn't even get installed on and it still had to be formated to use it again......

so on that note use at ur own risk.....

also for those that are wondering the serial numbers u get for vista (if they are legit) last till the 31/5/2007 (not june/july the 1st)

well lol for a 1st post it ain't to bad hope to enjoy my time on this forum here seems like a nice place

till next time PEACE OUT !!!

i tried vista and if ya think it will leave ya XP untouched think again after u format ur machine to install XP (or even if ya just delete vista) u still gotta format every hard drive in your machine....

i had important things on my other harddrive that vista didn't even get installed on and it still had to be formated to use it again......

so on that note use at ur own risk.....

also for those that are wondering the serial numbers u get for vista (if they are legit) last till the 31/5/2007 (not june/july the 1st)

Managed to download it now, around 111kb/s.

I'm gonna try it out in a few weeks, but I think i'll go back to xp again after I played around with it :P

Id love to get it but! I DONT HAVE A DVD BURNER :@ Ugh and I cant get it by mail cuz its 6 bucks to ship the bloody disk! Not bad but I dont have a credit card and they dont accept a COD. If it was in parts maybe I could get it on cds and than put them together on my other pc and burn it to a dvd, but oh well I can always get transformation packs ;)
