There're two main errors faced by my friend.
His MSN Messenger can't be used. Whenever he sign in, the messenger will close without giving an error. I asked him to reinstall and install again but to no avail. When he installed WLM 8, he also get that nonsense - sign in and messenger closed. And one more problem. His Norton apparently corrupted, he can't even use it. Reinstalling is useless as he doesn't have the CD with him, and the program isn't his. That's the worse part.
What I was thinking is that his sys 32 files are corrupted, so I asked him to reformat his PC, but he can't due to the fact that he's sharing with his bro and sis.

Any ideas?

just back everything up and format it.... then it wouldnt be a problem for his bro & sis really... if the computer needs to be formatted, tough luck on them
