after a long conversation with a mate we decided we would like to set up a server for Day Of Defeat: Source.
though we dont know where we could find one
if anyone knows a good place we could try, we need between 5 and 10 GB of space and high bandwith to offer a good ping rate whilst playing.

if anyone has any ideas and links id much very happy
it must be free or extremely cheap

the good servers nie ping and a niec overall space for files (E.G maps, mods and other things)

hmmm. ok thanks for those links - but looks like i'll have to pass. there's no real point in me setting one up when it costs that much - il just use my PC and see how far i can puch my internet connection before other players get a lag. thanks anyways

PS: im still open to other sites and info if it comes cheaper than the above - i might consider paying alittle bit for it

you're not gonna be able to host a decent server with more than 1 or 2 people in it on a home connection unless you're on high SDSL or some shit. Trying to host a server on a connection with 256k-500k or so upload is pointless for a propper game :/

yer i know i cant have many opayers. but i cant afford any of the servers so there's no other way - i'll keep it for me and Simon and install bots.
