HDD: (!HDDSUMMARY) (Total: (!HDDTOTAL))
GFX Summary: (!GFXSUMMARY)
Operating System: (!OS)
System Uptime: (!UPTIME)

RE: [release] Computer Details by LunQan on 06-25-2006 at 07:32 PM

thanks :P good job

RE: [release] Computer Details by Skyler0 on 06-25-2006 at 07:35 PM

Great script ;).

Only problem I found, which I think it actually my video card's fault, is when I send info on it, it just comes back with undefineds.

"   GFX    : undefined NaNMB @ undefinedxundefined (undefinedHZ)"

RE: [release] Computer Details by LunQan on 06-25-2006 at 10:29 PM

It happends to be too, how can i fix this+

RE: [release] Computer Details by aNILEator on 06-26-2006 at 01:27 AM

i do not know its all NANs and grandads here too :P i hope -dt- is trying to fix this....

RE: [release] Computer Details by gatepass007 on 06-26-2006 at 05:26 AM

I've got errors in UPTIME. My computer was running for 28 minutes. But that showed 9 Hours and 28 Minutes ... Three or four times I'd got problems.

RE: [release] Computer Details by Jiggs on 06-26-2006 at 03:02 PM

it would be cool if these commands were available under the "insert special tag" menu in convo windows.
as its pretty impossible to remember all those commands, so i have to keep a txt file or come here whenever i want to use this script.
i remember in old Plus!, addons with their own commands had menus in conversation windows, is that not still possible?

Computer Details. by johndeere6810 on 11-16-2006 at 07:58 PM

umm ive installed  computer deatails script and when i press Video Card - Summary. It brings this up    GFX    : undefined NaNMB @ undefinedxundefined (undefinedHZ)

Is there an update i can get to show my card?

Thanks johndeere6810

RE: Computer Details. by Jarrod on 11-16-2006 at 08:17 PM

u don't need a script
right click on the desktop>properties>appearance
and it should have the name of your graphics card

RE: Computer Details. by johndeere6810 on 11-16-2006 at 08:18 PM

i know what the name of my card is but i want to fix this problem

Thanks johndeere6810

"undefined" means it sent a variable with nothing in it, and "NaN" menas it tried to use math on something that wasn't a number. This is a script problem, not a problem with your computer (for reference)
RE: Computer Details. by johndeere6810 on 11-22-2006 at 10:26 PM

yeah i know that but hes bringing an update out that should sort it, was wondering how soon it was coming out

Unless his Video Card isn't actually returned by Windows and it returns undefined (NaN - Can't do math on an undefined variable) Just another possible reason for it

In that case it should return an empty string or something. As shawnz said, it is a script problem (the 'undefined').

Though, it probably indeed also means his card does not return something, or isn't accessed the proper way to it can return something, etc. Nevertheless, such cases should be handled by the script too and thus in the end it is a scripting problem though.

--

PS: johndeere6810, if you have problems with a specific script, please search for the main thread for that specific script before making a new one. The forum is already cluttered enough with duplicated threads or threads about the same thing. It isn't handy for people to search for info about a specific script and it isn't handy for the developper of a specific script.

As such, this thread is reported for merging to [release] Computer Details ;)

RE: [release] Computer Details by johndeere6810 on 11-26-2006 at 08:16 PM

None of the dual core's are. That includes Core 2 Duo's and Pentium D's. I don't know about AMD's x2 range but they shouldn't be detected either. dt has one of those...
Your graphic card on the other hand should be detected. My NVIDIA 7600 GS is detected fine ;)

Since its not a dual core, it works fine :)
RE: [release] Computer Details by skyserpent on 01-04-2007 at 12:23 PM

AMD x2 don't work, that's what I have.

RE: [release] Computer Details by yojomojo on 02-11-2007 at 08:43 AM

How do u use the scripts i am confuzzeled my name is always l>>>>>S'Jojo<<<<<l what would be best for that?im a bit stupid with computers:$??

RE: [release] Computer Details by ryxdp on 02-11-2007 at 09:03 AM

1. Click the download link
2. Click any other download links/pictures until you get a popup. Click Run (IE ftl :P).
3. Now assuming the popup said something about it being a .plsc file, when download completes, it should run with the default program (MSGPLUS TOOLS i think it's called. Probably not :S)
4. Hopefully you will have installed a script. If not, then I can't give you a better explanation without downgrading to IE5 (I Use Firefox, just have IE7 for no reason at all :D)

RE: [release] Computer Details by johndeere6810 on 05-28-2007 at 10:10 AM

hey, been a long time since i was online here so was wondering has he made an update of this script yet?

RE: [release] Computer Details by mihzvol on 08-29-2007 at 07:10 PM

well i tried all functions of Computer Details and it seens to be all ok BUT the comp UPTIME
it aways shows something like 243 days
this is what i got
Uptime:     243 days 20 hours 35 minutes and 6 seconds
so i know that my comp is 20 hours on, but that 243 days keep confusing...
another problem
my friend got a UNKNOWN answer when he asked for his cpu but he got a AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4200+ TOLEDO...
not too hard to find it...

these are all the problems i found out...
i hope that could help
