The problem comes from CleanMessenger only if I believe that I saw on other threads.

There seem to be a lot of incompatibility between patched versions and WLM.

As a Windows Live OneCare user, all patched versions trigger WLOC to block WLM from operating successfully without disabling WLOC functionality (which defeats the purpose of having it).

They also seem to be the source of many conflicts in functions working. This isn't really a fault of either developer... it's impossible to test every patch for compatibility, especially when they've all been in development at the same time.

For now, I think I'll be recommending that users use either Messenger Plus! Live or MessPatch exclusively and not in conjunction.

The problem in some patches is that they remove too much things. Instead of hiding things they actually remove controls. And it are those controls which are needed by other addons for their functions or used as base points to put some extra button and stuff in the GUI.

So, in some cases it is the fault of the developpers of those patches. In the past A-patch and messpatch (iirc) suffered from this too. Now they hide certain things, instead of completely removing it from the UIFile.

If you have specific ways to break Messenger Plus! with a combination of options in some of the popular patches currently available, please let me know exactly about it and I'll see what I can do about it.
