Suggestion to reduce spam by markee on 06-26-2006 at 06:26 AM

It might be a wise idea to make a list of suggestions (like use a search before posting and not to advertise and that kind of thing) when someone tries to post a thread for th first time.  It might make for a few less threads that are answered previously or are against the forum rules. Is this possible and what are people's thoughts of such a thing?

There's already a "read this before posting" section in the Help forum. :)

I meant like a pop-up or going to another window so they have to read it before proceeding. (Sorry for not explaining myself)  As you can see I took no notice of it :P

Sorry, but everyone hates pop-ups and people won't read "another window" anyway.

I'm not a big fan of forcing people to do stuff. :dodgy:

If they don't read it there, they probably won't read it anywhere...

I guess that's a good point.  Thanks for listening though.
