Well straight to the point, i need a programe that will backup all of my C: drive to my external hard drive, does anybody here know a programe? (i'm sure you must 
)

Use Norton Ghost, this program backup your c: drive into a DVD (I not used it, but many people recommended it to me)

Seriously though, if you're just copying, drag-and-drop. If you want something more advanced, you could try Norton Ghost if you want to be able to restore the exact same state. I don't really know about many tohers though, sorry.

Wow. I never thought I would get to post two links to cheesy MS user level articles in one day.
Anyway, in addition to the "copy files you want" approach RaceProUK suggests, Windows also comes with adequate backup software. It is very simple to use and suitable if you want a backup to quickly get back where you were after having your system wiped out by something like a hard drive failure.
