I'm sure a subject like this has been talked about more than once in this forum, but I couldn't find any and I'm really interested in finding out what you gusy think.

Which is a better Patch for WLM? A-Patch or Mess Patch? Or some other?

I've used A-Patch for a while now, but since it's WLM inception and the removal of the Sign Out Button feature, which I loved, I wondered if there were any other better ones out there.

Any thoughts?

Mess Patch defitively.
A-Patch has at least 3 bugs that have been there since 7.5 and never fixed I reported it several times but nothing were done.

Mess Patch is great too because of its original functions: Add a option button, sign-out button, add contact button on the dashboard (where you have your e-mail count, sharing folder)

Hmm..really? What bugs did you report exactly?

I think I might give Mess Patch a try.

A-Patch is usually out first, so I use it while waiting for Mess Patch, which is better

The functions in A-Patch that make Messenger crash since 7.5
- Remove Nudge Delay
- Disable window shaking when receiving nudge
The functions buggy in A-Patch now:
- The two above
- Polygamy
- Remove billing informations

Ok, removed my a-patch and gave mess patch a try......DEFINETELY welcomed the return of my beloved sign out button...BUT A-PAtch had the option to move the contact search bar to the bottom of the contact list AND remove the extra padding, making it much more aesthetic.

Did i miss this from Mess patch or should someone suggest this feature to them?


EDIT: Update: Forget it, it seems like just moving the contact bar to the bottom removes the extra padding. Awesome. Will now try out everything else.

I didn't see interesting options in A-Patch that Mess Patch doesn't have :/

A-Patch. Messpatch is over rated.

a-patch is up to date with msn messenger or live. Mess.Patch is great than a-patch. but a little delay.

Rolando is a busy man, and his work usally comes out later than A-Patch. I like A-Patch much better, it just seems more professionaly done. However, it has one or two annoyances. It refers to Windows Live Messenger as MSN Messenger and does not end the process or msnmsgr.exe for you .

Each contain unqiue features. A-Patch has a few extra small ones, mess Patch can change messenger's design and add certain buttons. Really it is up to how you use messenger.
