Question about Digital Photo Camera and Usb Pen by Fredzz on 06-29-2006 at 02:30 PM

Ok, my dad just came telling me he bought a 1GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive..
I asked him what for?
He told me that it could be used to connect to our Hp Photosmart 413 photo camera with an usb adapter (because the port of the usb camera is smaller)

I was like: WTF, is it really possible to connect an USB flash drive to a camera and download the pictures that are in the camera (and the camera's mmc), to a flash drive, directly without any kind of computer aid?

Blah haven't seen you in a while :P

No, I really think there's no way to do that.. I don't even think the camera will recognize as a drive.

He's probably doing it camera > PC > pen drive > printer.

You can not directly connect a USB drive to a camera without a special adapter of some sort

Some of those new fancy cameras and printers have the ability to connect to a usb drive directly, yes. However, you should look it up on the HP web site. I can't find the product page myself, are you sure the model is "413" or did you mistype it?
