Upgrading to MSN live! feels like downgrading by BananaPirate on 07-08-2006 at 11:19 AM

I just switched to MSN Messenger Live!, and it feels like a downgrade because I'm missing the features I liked best in the previous MSN Messenger.

* Big avatars in the contactlist
* (Away), (Busy), etc. Behind someone's username
* Docking

I can't seem to add these options with the Msg+ plugin either?

I replaced the green msn-icons in front of my contacts with small avatars with the 'mess.be patch' (why did they remove this option anyway?), and now I can't see if people are away or busy, unless I hover over them with my mouse to see their full info (email addy etc)

Am I just missing some options-menu or are these options just not available?

Lots of love for the Msg+ plugin though!
Hope someone can help me.

Regards,
BananaPirate

This is not a Plus! feature.

It is called Messenger Plus! Live :).

And your features will return soon, but they have not been re-coded in yet :).

BananaPirate means "Windows Live Messenger"...

@BananaPirate, call the programs by their correct name. As you can see it is very confusing otherwise. "MSN Messenger Live!" does not exist and in fact can not exist as the term "Windows Live" is the replacement of "MSN" in this context.

"Old" brand names:
Windows Messenger 5.x
MSN Messenger 7.x
MSN Mail (or hotmail)

"New" brand names:
Windows Live Messenger 8.x
Windows Live Mail
Windows Live

----

For Messenger Plus! it is:
Messenger Plus!
Messenger Plus! Live
abbreviations: msgplus, plus!, plus!3, plus!live, mp!l

It is not:
Messenger+
MSN+
MSN Plus
MSN Plus Live
etc

;)

Wow, thanks for the quick replies,
sorry for the name-confusion, hope it's clear that I meant:

* old: Msn Messenger with Messenger Plus! and mess.be patch
* new: Windows Live Messenger with Messenger Plus! Live and mess.be patch

Anyway, I used this one: http://neuraltransmitter.10gb.org/
It's what I was looking for, thanks!
There's one problem though, I can't get the Medium Display Pictures to work... They just don't appear whatever I do :(

So now I've got small display pictures WITH (yay) away/busy icons (without the green dudes)

If anyone knows why the medium display pictures won't work for me or knows a different solution please tell me?

Cheers
