I am not sure if anyone can help but my problem is, I have installed Windows Messenger Live on my original laptop and everything seems to be fine, I tried installing it on a Gateway Desktop and I am faced with this error. Can this be corrected? Thanks for your response. Hi all…

download winhttp.dll and put it in C:\Windows\System32

obviously you should be careful when downloading dlls from random sites.

Instead, install either Windows XP SP1, or IE6 SP1. Both come with WinHTTP.dll.
