K-Lite Mega Codec pack should have the codec you need.

Could this be the site: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm ?

EDIT: Not fond anything, there is no seperate DVD codec on any KLite Code Pack website. :-(

I'm sure such things exist as one of my mates at college used one. Anyone else know where i can get something like this?

Most DVD decoders (such as PowerDVD) are not free, but I just came across this, which looks pretty promising...

AVS DVD Player
http://www.avsmedia.com/DVDPlayer/index.aspx

It includes a free DVD codec... I dunno if you have to use their player or not...

You download the pack and then when insalling you get to choose which codecs to install :) But I'm not sure if it has a DVD decoder.

You can download KLMCP and choose only the decoder. Or you can use Media Player Classic or VideoLan. Both video players are free/open source.
