You can't stop lag.

its not going to _stop_ lag, the best it could do is scrape a few milliseconds off your ping.

It seems rather useless.

I don't see how a NIC could reduce your lag by any noticeable amount. :-/

The link to more information about it is broken: http://www.bigfootnetworks.com/PDFs/Killer_NIC_PR.pdf ^o)

You can't stop lag.
you can with net neutrality, because that card gives you your own internets!

It's a waste of money, just save your money and increase your internet speed.

A network card for gamers?
That is stupid IMO... :-/

However, I must admit that the design of the network card looks cool (H)

True. its like a placebo.

Pinging my gateway WAN address gives <1 ms.

All the latency I get has nothing to do with the equipment that I use, it all happens at the IP carriers.

A $15 NIC from your local computer store probably performs better than this.

Why is this a rip off? Simple, it's a PCI card. The PCI Bus is capable of 133MB/s (1,064 Mb/s), so it's theoretically capable of achieving GBPS transfer. However, this is shared between all PCI devices. Even if this card did come in PCI Express, I'd still call it a gimmick though.

Another over-priced gimmick, that will offer nothing over existing NIC's but a higher price.
