contacts with format codes in the contact list either nickname/displayname etc are not sorted correctly
ie.
Abc goes before Aaa
and
Www goes before Aaa as well
etc..

The sorting is done by WLM itself as as the format codes added by Plus! have lower ASCII values than the alpha characters, the names with formating appear first, so nothing can be done about it

The Contact List is a ListView control, yes? If so, the following may help:
