I'd like to see a script that displays the number of new emails you have in your personal message. Maybe make it something like a configurable message with the number of emails as a variabel as in the countdown script.

Example:

I still have [M] email[s] to read

Why would you want to tell your contacts how many unread messages you have?

So they know how long they have to waite :p

From a quick scan of the documentation, there is no single property for current email count, so it won't be possible easily.

You could do it with the Messenger API, it even has an event that tells when the unread count changes :P but some people dont like the messenger api because it causes windows messenger to run in the background...however Plus! uses the api so it's usually already running :P

Quick question not exactly related to the topic...

If Plus! uses the windows messenger API, and windows messenger will be scraped eventually (I saw a video on Channel 9 talking with the messenger developers), how will plus! function? Will it need to be recoded, or just run off something else?

I don't think Plus! depends directly on the Windows Messenger executable file for it's API, as I have slipstreamed Windows installation which doesn't have WM installed, and Messenger Plus! (Live too) works fine.
