i don't understand how you lot get dp's for your user on this site.... cud someone explain to me how they do it?

you mean an avatar i guess...
go to user cp...
at the right there is a link change avatar..
click that...

You click on 'user cp', which is below the big banner saying 'Community Forums'.
Then there's a link saying 'change avatar'.
Btw, your 'display picture' on forums is known as an 'avatar'.
I'm just too slow
