Fight for Baghdad by Forgotten Dream on 03-22-2003 at 06:15 AM

There have been a few topics on war; well we’re at war. The time being it’s going pretty well for the United State…but their objectives is within Baghdad, and that’s not an easy task. The question is, does Sadam have something catastrophic planned for the opposition?

I strongly believe that Sadam will do something terrible when the time comes for US to infiltrate Baghdad. Its unlikely it can attack America with the weapons they have, the danger comes to its neighboring countries. The worst scenario is if Sadam launches nuclear/biological missiles at Kuwait and/or Israel.

The fact is a man like Sadam can’t simply be put down.
But if his time is at an end…surely he wont go down doing nothing.

So yeah…I’m pretty sure he will do something like that, what do you guys think?

meh...Nothing too bad, now that us troops are doing so well in Iraq. congrats to them!

RE: Fight for Baghdad by Guido on 03-22-2003 at 08:34 AM

I'm afraid of this since war started, thats why i dont fully support war...

Crazy Sadddam + Power Hungered Bush = Bombs and Blasts everywhere... :-/

And about:

quote:
Its unlikely it can attack America with the weapons they have
i wouldnt be that sure... :-/ Everything is likely at this point
RE: Fight for Baghdad by Wabz on 03-22-2003 at 05:09 PM

It aint just AMerician troops :@ British Troops are also there and we already saved AMerician Marines arse once

RE: Fight for Baghdad by Addo on 03-22-2003 at 05:39 PM

Two wrongs NEVER make a right. To remove one man from his position, the US are risking casualties in huge numbers!

And what's this I hear? They want democracy in Iraq? Well then why doesn't the US allow the Iraqi people choose their leader? What does the US have to poke their nose at other's business? You call the US a democratic country? Where his people are against war, and he still goes ahead with a preemptive strike?

What about the UN who is the the international ruler of sorts..? The UN has NOT allowed the US to go at war against Iraq, then how CAN the US just go ahead with it??? Its against the law, it's illegal! It's just like a bully at school who gets to push around the other people! And there is no one to stop that Son of a Bush! :@

Down with him, DOWN!

RE: Fight for Baghdad by Johnny_Mac on 03-23-2003 at 02:44 PM

Nuclear weapons? Do you what it takes to launch a nuke? A lot more then Saddam owns at the moment. :undecided:

I agree with the chemical and biological weapons being a threat, but if i were in america atm, i'd be more worried of the terrorists living there...

RE: Fight for Baghdad by shine on 03-23-2003 at 03:10 PM

I don't feel safe at all, and havent since 9/11... and probably won't ever in my life time, lets just hope one day someone does.

And the UK has plenty of nukes, just their on subs hanging around india and the gulf... The last count with the UK and US I heard has over 30 nuclear weapons... of which 15 are warheads.
RE: Fight for Baghdad by shine on 03-24-2003 at 10:16 AM

We have a saying in here Idonno if its there in English, Burn the house down to kill the mouse. Have you seen "Mouse hunt"? Thas exactly what US and allies are doing at the moment :p

RE: Fight for Baghdad by Muss on 03-24-2003 at 10:45 AM

errr

you shouldn't really compared mouse hunt and the war

In the end of mouse hun thtey open a cheese factory and are good friends, I can't see that happening :undecided:

RE: Fight for Baghdad by alkawood on 03-24-2003 at 11:30 AM

I think Addo said it perfectly. What America and it's allies are doing is illigal. But i think a distinction has to be made between what the soldiers are doing and what the government is doing. The soldiers who are participating in this war should not be prosecuted in any way for their actions. The government has used them like puppets to fulfill their own agenda's. So i think that if people are against the war, they should still support the soldiers who are in Iraq. If people don't, this will be another Vietnam. With the brave men and women coming home after spending months or years in the most terrifying place, during the most terrifying time of their lives. I'm not saying that anyone here has been bad-mouthing the troops or anything, I just thought i'd add that.

RE: Fight for Baghdad by Wabz on 03-24-2003 at 03:19 PM

The worst thing that saddam can do is drop a dirty bomb (a nuclear bomb made out of scraps of nuclear substances) the effect is still bad but not as damaging

I meant what they did with that house.. Read the post completely

Yesterday there was a blast near US base here in Qatar, and you shoul have seen the US media speculating things. One even went live on air saying the base was prone to attacks. And it turned out to be a gas cylinder explosion in a scrap yard :p
RE: Fight for Baghdad by Wabz on 03-24-2003 at 11:44 PM

It's all silly crap the media knows war makes them a fortune and there willing to bias the view to get a larger audience of course you can read into it one way  but theres always gonna be a news channel or paper that has your point of view

RE: Fight for Baghdad by chicky101 on 04-01-2003 at 01:44 AM

I think Bush did the right thing to attack Sadam.  Someone had to do it or we'd be getting bombed by them as we speak
Sadam doesn't have mcuh of a chance if he's trapped in Baghdad  so i think this war should last too long
                ~~Erin~~
