Hello! 
Sorry if my English is not very good..
In the preferences screen, i can't click on any buttons when i'm in the "tabbed chats" prefernces.
It looks like in the picture..
My messenger version is- 8.0 (8.0.0812.00)
messenger Plus! Live version- 4.01.0.240

Are you using an RTL (Right to Left) language for your Messenger/Messenger Plus! Live?
Messenger Plus! Live tabbed chats unfortunately do not work with these languages. Please see this thread for more information.

I am using a RTL language for my Messenger
and now i downloaded Messenger in English and the "rabbed chats" is working!!
