Hello,
Recently i updated my WLM to the latest version, and it now takes forever to start up, it signs in and loads my contact list, then it takes a couple of minutes before it will respond (change status, scroll list, open convo, pop up who signs in, open chats)...i dont know why this happens as it happens on my laptop aswell which is brand new lol.
Any ideas?

How many RAM does your computer have?

Yeah mine does this too, i think i have 156 RAM, but i should get an upgrade soon

Reading this may help you speed up Windows Live Messenger . Try re-installing as well and see if that helps.

And 256MB RAM is a little low for WinXP, let alone running stuff on top of it. Go for 512MB: memory's cheap nowadays.
